Client: Kazu Saito
This is a collaborative project with renowned painter Kazu Saito to promote his Japanese painting - Nihonga, and the aim is to attract more followers for his social media posts.
After a discussion with Mr. Saito, I have decided to combine his static paintings with modern technology. With the help of computer software, I have made his still paintings come to life, and expressed a dynamic beauty through a new perspective.
The video sets these 2D paintings in motion with slow changes and shows the reflection of light corresponding to the ambient music. It encourages a sense of calm and contemplation.
People can see more possibilities from his still paintings and feel the charm of his works from another angle, which can promote his paintings and attract more followers for his social platform.
